Stillwater Lodge is home base for all kinds of back country adventures or for those simply seeking solitude in asmall town. From the Stillwater Valley, you are only minutes away from trout happy rivers and scenic mountain trails. There are a dozen public fishing access sites and trails to water falls and high country lakes. Charles Kuralt, famed CBS Sunday Morning host and long time televisionjournalist, loved the “hidden valley” road from Red Lodge to Absarokee and extolled the Beartooth Pass from Red Lodge to Yellowstone National Park as “one of the ten most beautiful highways in the United States.”
